I’ve had a flower essence formula for some time that was called “Healing the Lonely Heart” but tonight I felt like I needed to rename it to “Healing the Shy Lonely Heart.” I don’t think this is better but I believe that the person most likely to seek this out is shy and, therefore, lonely because they are shy (and I want them to find it). This being the search engine-driven internet, it sometimes helps to be a little flat-footed in naming a product.
And yet there is another kind of person who could use it—the person who goes their own way, likes being alone or with a single favorite person, but knows they would benefit from having more people in their lives. Are those people shy?
Yes and no. They don’t appear shy and yet they shy away from gatherings where they might meet people and make new friends. Introverts hate parties—they find them exhausting and not worth the trouble—but they’re not necessarily afraid of meeting people. They just can’t make themselves do it.
So this particular formula covers more than one base. It includes Water Violet for the people who prefer to go their own way and do their own thing (but do it too much). It includes Wallflower for shy people who don’t want to be alone but are anxious about making friends. I add Wild Pansy for people who have a past history of being ostracized or ridiculed that makes shyness even worse. And then I add Goldenrod because all of these people particularly hate figuring out how to be themselves in groups.
You can find “Healing the Shy Lonely Heart” in my Etsy shop as a Reiki-infused flower essence dropper bottle or spray.
You can add a scent to the spray (if you prefer) by selecting what you want here and adding a note telling me what formula to add it to.

Flower essences are used to assist with mind-body-spirit interactions and individual results may vary. They are extremely dilute which makes them quite safe. But because so little physical substance can be detected in a flower essence solution, these products are presumed to work on an energetic or vibrational level—something that cannot be adequately tested by western scientific methods. Claims made by me, therefore, are based on personal experiences and the evidence of the combined multiple decades of case notes by Dr. Edward Bach as well as Healing Herbs and Flower Essence Services (the companies who make the ingredients I use in my products). This is not, however, accepted medical evidence or substantiated scientific evidence from a modern allopathic point of view. I am not a medical doctor or licensed healthcare practitioner.
