One of the most ancient ways of receiving wisdom from beyond was sleeping in a dream temple with the help of priestesses specially trained to help a person have a dream meant to provide guidance on a particular problem. They could be found in ancient Egypt, other places in the Middle East, and ancient Greece and Rome. The person asking for help would sleep in the temple after rituals intended to help them get into a space of dreaming in a sacred manner, and the priestesses would help them interpret the dreams when they woke up. This method still works (although you don’t have to go to a special temple with priestesses attending you anymore). You can ask for guidance before you fall asleep and write down any dreams in a journal you keep beside your bed. It might take practice—you need to write things down before the dream fades, before you get out of bed. But this really is one of my favorite ways of receiving guidance.
A tool that I think can be very helpful should you wish to pursue this is my Dream Wisdom flower essence formula. It is designed with Lavender, Chamomile, Mugwort, and Queen Anne’s Lace to help you relax, let go into sleep, and access both your dreams and the wisdom to interpret them in a grounded fashion.

Flower essences are used to assist with mind-body-spirit interactions and individual results may vary. They are extremely dilute which makes them quite safe. But because so little physical substance can be detected in a flower essence solution, these products are presumed to work on an energetic or vibrational level—something that cannot be adequately tested by western scientific methods. Claims made by me, therefore, are based on personal experiences and the evidence of the combined multiple decades of case notes by Dr. Edward Bach as well as Healing Herbs and Flower Essence Services (the companies who make the ingredients I use in my products). This is not, however, accepted medical evidence or substantiated scientific evidence from a modern allopathic point of view. I am not a medical doctor or licensed healthcare practitioner.
