4 Ways to Stop an Unhealthy Habit with Scent
How do you stop doing an unhealthy habit, and start developing new, healthy habits…that stick?
You R.O.A.R.!!!!!
A quote by Carl Jung, sums it up. He says, “Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
What does this mean?
You need to RECOGNIZE what “autopilot” unhealthy habits you are doing or giving into. This will help you divert those and establish new, healthy “replacement” habits to overcome the unhealthy ones.
Scents that help you focus to recognize these unhealthy habits are lemon, lemongrass, and peppermint.
Add in an OPTIMISTIC mindset. When you are positive, your cells propel you into motion knowing anything is possible. It allows you to believe that you can do this. You will do this. You are doing this. A positive mindset will activate the body & gut to follow.
Scents help you be more optimistic are anise, bergamot, clary sage, lime, sweet orange, and thyme.
AWARENESS is key. Knowing what helps you thrive and what keeps you from thriving. You want to feed those habits that help you thrive and starve the ones that don’t.
Scents that bring you into awareness are frankincense, geranium, ravintsara, rosemary, and vetiver.
REDESIGN your action plan to include these healthy habits. Define what you need and how you can get it. Schedule these habits and don’t cancel on yourself.
Scents to help you take action are sweet basil, black pepper, cypress, juniper, and pine.
